RegToy is a simple and "apparently" small application that will surprise you when you discover all its functionality. This great utility will let you to manage and configure a lot of hidden parameters of your Windows XP. All optimization tools are perfectly ordered by categories in three main sections, System, User, and Others.
Some example adjustments you will find in RegToy are:
- Memory and Cache. You can select maximum cache for In/Out operations, depending on the memory amount you have.
- You will be able to set up some Shutdown and Startup options, for example, you can cancel scanning disk during startup or set up the time to wait when a program hangs.
- You can personalize some options when you Logon, for example, you can set up a new wallpaper before Logon instead the typical Windows XP welcome screen.
- Security feature. You can disable Encrypting File System on NTFS partitions, disable CD burning, and many other options that you cannot even imagine.
One important point you should know is that RegToy will show you only "hidden adjustments" (those that are not visible by default in Windows), so you won't find basic adjustments in this application.
Important. RegToy need Microsoft .NET Framework installed on your PC in order to run propertly.
